Unmanned Systems

Unmanned systems are the fastest-growing area in the brigade. There are UAV units in every battalion, and the need for people here is constant.

It covers more than it seems. FPV operators, including fibre-optic ones. Operators of reconnaissance drones and heavy strike drones. Navigators. Operators of unmanned ground vehicles. Electronic warfare. The workshop where drones are assembled and set up. The HQ that runs all of this and brings the data together.

Experience with civilian drones is useful but not required. Training starts on simulators — flight time there costs nothing, so you can fly until it starts to work. Then comes work with a real drone under the supervision of an instructor who carries out combat missions themselves.

Technical staff are needed too: people who solder, assemble, flash firmware and set up the video link. These are workshop positions, not positions at the front.

We are also looking for a computer vision engineer — the area of recognising objects in video from drones.

What you should understand about this work: it changes faster than any other in the brigade. What worked six months ago no longer works today, so the main requirement is a willingness to keep relearning. People who do not enjoy that burn out here, even if they are technically strong.

The conditions depend on the specific position: an operator works closer to the line, the workshop and HQ are in the rear. This is stated clearly in the description of each vacancy, together with the pay.
