Vacancy: Recruiter

A person who has decided to write to the brigade takes the hardest step on their own. After that, everything depends on who picks up the phone — and whether anyone picks up at all.

A Recruiter talks to candidates for service by phone and online, conducts initial interviews and supports the person through every stage of enlistment.

This is a position that directly determines how many people make it from intention to signing.

Who can become a Recruiter

No military experience is required. What you need is the ability to talk to people and see things through.

What really matters:

  • Persuasion skills, responsibility and good organisation
  • Confident use of a computer and smartphone
  • Good command of written Ukrainian and the ability to explain things clearly
  • Experience in sales, a call centre, HR or recruitment is an advantage
  • Medical fitness for service — determined by the military medical board (VLK)

How a Recruiter differs from a Contact Centre Operator: the operator takes the initial enquiry and passes it on. The Recruiter handles the candidate personally — interviews, consultations, support through to signing.

What a Recruiter does in the 141st SMB

In addition to what is described in the requirements above:

  • Communicating with candidates by phone and online
  • Conducting initial interviews with candidates
  • Supporting the candidate through every stage of enlistment
  • Maintaining the candidate database and reporting
  • Liaising with units on their personnel needs
  • Advising on terms of service, vacancies and the selection process

How you will be trained

The path is the same for everyone: 51 days of basic military training, then the brigade adaptation course — 14–15 days with instructors who have combat experience.

After that — work in your profession. Civilian experience in sales, HR or a call centre carries over almost entirely: the subject of the conversation changes, not the skill itself. The specifics of service, vacancies and the enlistment procedure are learned on the job.

Tactical medicine is drilled until it becomes automatic. Our instructors' principle is short: the priority is to survive.

What you will be provided with

You will be fully kitted out: gear, protective equipment, a workstation and equipment.

You will not be on your own. The Recruiter works in the recruitment section, alongside the communications section, which brings in the enquiries.

What the terms include:

  • Pay: base pay of UAH 21,000 + an additional bonus of UAH 30,000 — approximately UAH 51,000 – 55,000 per month in total, depending on the position and conditions of service
  • Full provision of gear, protective equipment and military property
  • The social package provided for service members
  • Opportunity to obtain combatant status (UBD)

Where you can grow

  • Head of the recruitment branch
  • Related people-focused areas — communications, personnel work
  • Instructor training new recruiters
  • Professionally — recruitment experience in conditions where the cost of a decision is as high as it gets

In the 141st, competence and results count — not length of service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Logic and process: we answer the key questions about enlistment, training and status.

Apply for this position
01

Do I need HR experience?

+

Not necessarily. Experience in sales, a call centre, HR or recruitment is an advantage, but you will be trained without it too.

02

How is this different from a Contact Centre Operator?

+

The operator takes the initial enquiry and passes it on. The Recruiter handles the candidate personally through to signing.

03

Is this a combat position?

+

No, this is work with people. Everyone goes through basic military training, but the main task is recruitment.

04

I have no military experience. Can I still join you?

+

Yes. Most of our best specialists were civilians yesterday. What matters to us is your motivation. We’ll match a role to your skills: if you understand machinery — you’ll go to the mechanics; if you know electronics — to UAVs or communications. Everything military — we’ll teach you.

05

How long does training take before deployment to the unit?

+

Every recruit completes Basic General Military Training (BGMT) at a training center. After that — additional specialized training depending on the chosen role. We send only the prepared to the line of contact — that is our core principle.

06

What happens after I fill out the form?

+

Your application goes to the recruiting center. Within 24 hours our specialist will call — it’s not an interrogation, just an introduction and answers to your questions. If we’re a match, the brigade issues an official request and our liaison helps you get through the TRC and MMB as fast as possible.

07

Can I transfer to the 141st SMB from another unit?

+

Yes, we consider transfers — including via the Army+ app. Fill out the form and select the status “Active service member” — a recruiter will advise on your real chances and the steps involved.

08

I am AWOL (SZCh). Can I join?

+

The law allows a return to service. If you’re motivated to fight in a sound team — fill out the form and state your status honestly. Our specialists will advise you individually on legal ways to return. Confidentially.

09

Do you provide uniform and equipment?

+

Yes. The brigade fully provides basic kit, body armor, helmets and weapons. Plus — thanks to a strong volunteer network, we have additional technological support: drones, EW, transport.
