Vacancy: Paid Social Specialist
Recruitment for the brigade is essentially a marketing task with a very concrete result. A person saw an ad, visited the website, filled in the application form, came to an interview and signed a contract. The paid social specialist is responsible for the start of this chain.
The work is the same as on the civilian market: audiences, creatives, tests, budget optimisation. The difference is that conversion here is measured not in sales but in people who have come to serve.
This is a rare case where the result of a marketer's work can be seen in people's faces.
Who can become a paid social specialist
No military experience is required. What you need is professional experience — the same that agencies and product companies require.
What really matters:
- Hands-on practice in Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Telegram Ads. Actual practice, not courses
- The ability to read the numbers and draw conclusions from them, not just compile a report
- Patience with testing. There is no "it worked straight away" here, and that is normal
- Understanding that the audience is specific: the motivation to come and serve is unlike anything else, and standard techniques often do not work
- Medical fitness — determined by the military medical board (VLK)
On the main question: this is a military position, and everyone goes through basic training. But you are hired for a specific job in your profession.
What a paid social specialist does in the 141st SMB
In addition to what is described in the requirements above:
- You work with end-to-end analytics: the website has source tracking, so you can see not only the click but also which campaign brought in the person who got as far as the application form
- Creatives are built on the brigade's real material — videos, stories, photos from the units, not stock images
- The audience is segmented by area: infantry, UAVs, medics, technical specialities — and each one requires its own language
- You see the results in numbers every day, and in people every week
How you will be trained
The path is the same for everyone: 51 days of basic military training, then the brigade adaptation course — 14–15 days with instructors who have combat experience.
For this job it has practical value: to sell service, you need to understand what it consists of. Someone who has been through the training themselves writes different copy and chooses different footage — and it shows in the results.
Tactical medicine is drilled until it becomes automatic. Our instructors' principle is short: the priority is to survive.
What you will be provided with
You will be fully kitted out: gear, protective equipment and the equipment you need for the job.
You won't be alone. The paid social specialist works in the media department together with SMM, design and video — so you don't have to create creatives from scratch on your own.
What the terms include:
- Pay: base pay of UAH 21,000 and an additional bonus of UAH 30,000, approximately UAH 51,000–55,000 in total
- Full provision of gear, protective equipment and military property
- The social package provided for service members
- Opportunity to obtain combatant status (UBD)
Where you can grow
- Head of recruitment — the whole funnel, not just advertising
- Analytics and the brigade's communications strategy
- Professionally — experience with an unconventional audience and a full funnel through to offline conversion is valued in any market
In the 141st, competence and results count — not length of service. See a solution — propose it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Logic and process: we answer the key questions about enlistment, training and status.
Apply for this positionWill I have to fight?
+This is a military position, and everyone goes through basic training. But you are hired for a specific job in your profession.
What budgets will I be working with?
+This is discussed at the interview. The work involves real recruitment campaigns, not training exercises.
Is there access to analytics?
+Yes. The website has end-to-end source tracking, so you can see the path from the click to the completed application form.
I have no military experience. Can I still join you?
+Yes. Most of our best specialists were civilians yesterday. What matters to us is your motivation. We’ll match a role to your skills: if you understand machinery — you’ll go to the mechanics; if you know electronics — to UAVs or communications. Everything military — we’ll teach you.
How long does training take before deployment to the unit?
+Every recruit completes Basic General Military Training (BGMT) at a training center. After that — additional specialized training depending on the chosen role. We send only the prepared to the line of contact — that is our core principle.
What happens after I fill out the form?
+Your application goes to the recruiting center. Within 24 hours our specialist will call — it’s not an interrogation, just an introduction and answers to your questions. If we’re a match, the brigade issues an official request and our liaison helps you get through the TRC and MMB as fast as possible.
Can I transfer to the 141st SMB from another unit?
+Yes, we consider transfers — including via the Army+ app. Fill out the form and select the status “Active service member” — a recruiter will advise on your real chances and the steps involved.
I am AWOL (SZCh). Can I join?
+The law allows a return to service. If you’re motivated to fight in a sound team — fill out the form and state your status honestly. Our specialists will advise you individually on legal ways to return. Confidentially.
Do you provide uniform and equipment?
+Yes. The brigade fully provides basic kit, body armor, helmets and weapons. Plus — thanks to a strong volunteer network, we have additional technological support: drones, EW, transport.
