Support Units

A brigade is not only the people in the positions. Behind every combat unit there are people without whom it cannot work for a single day: drivers, mechanics, cooks, clerks, IT specialists, public relations specialists, psychologists.

Support positions are the path for those who want to serve but have a civilian profession the army needs right now. A mechanic stays a mechanic, an accountant stays an accountant, a designer stays a designer. What changes is not the profession but what it works for.

The responsibility is no smaller here. A broken-down vehicle disrupts a rotation, a mistake in the paperwork delays pay, a crashed server stops data exchange. A support soldier does not shoot, but whether someone else can shoot depends on them.

Training is compulsory too: everyone completes basic military training, whatever the position. After that, you work in your field.

The question asked most often: can you move from a support position to a combat one later? You can, and the other way round as well — transfers within the brigade are simpler than between units.

The second question is about pay. It depends on the position and where it is carried out, not on whether it is called "combat" or "support" in the documents. The exact amounts are given in each vacancy separately, without generalisations.
